I think the sent folder may be corrupted. A POP mail account displays the correct information on a sent item when searching the folder, but nothing displays on clicking the item. I've tried repair folder and will check again on restarting the computer after closing Thunderbird. Any ideas welcome.

Do you have a backup program that you actually use? If you have an image of your disk/drive with that .msf on it, you could test your corrupted file theory by replacing the Sent Mail file in the [server].sbd folder with the earlier one. With TBird closed, of course.
