When I try to save a subset of a website for a login it deletes the part after *.com.

This is what it should be: https://www.xyz.com/roundcube/

But it only saves: https://www.xyz.com

So I can't save the location, along with my user name and password so that it works.

How can I make 86.0.1 allow me to save the correct address in the "Logins and Passwords" section?

Thanks,

Allen

The login information stores the web address. Not the subaddress. Each website only needs the main address.

Actually, on many sites the extended information is needed to be able to get to the proper site. Many servers for complex web sites have multiple login places and many also have a requirement for different usernames and passwords to protect against hacking.

I called for more help. Can you give some examples?

Hi FredMcD,

The main site example structure is: https://www.(company name).com

The special section site example structure is: https://www.(company name).com/mailbox/

The username and password are different for each of those two places. Since Firefox doesn't allow me to save the extended version I always wind up at the first one with the wrong username and password.
