Some months ago I lost all the Ad Block buttons from my browser, this has not been a problem until now, I need to give temporary permission to switch off ad block in order to read the content.

Can you please advise me how to get the buttons back on the page please.

Thank you.

Thank you Fred, I did the Alt F10 and managed to get the ad block plus back into the extensions/add ons place, I had removed them to see if they came back when I reinstalled, but they haven't. I was able to get in to add websites to a white list. Thank you for your time and excellent help.

Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars

Type about:customizing<enter> in the address bar.

Note: about:customizing is no longer present in Firefox 47+ releases.

  • Press Alt or F10 to bring up the toolbar.
Then View > Toolbars > Customize.
  • Right-click on a blank spot in the toolbar and
    select Customize.

In the new window, look for the icon. When you find it, hold down the left button on it, and move it to where you want it to be. You can move any of the icons you want from here, but; some icons are locked in place.

There is also a Restore Defaults button at the bottom middle.
