My entire Firefox downloads folder was cleared out and nothing left in it. The files do not appear in my recycle bin. My downloads history still shows everything downloaded but they definitely don't exist on my drive anymore. I used EaseUS and it said the files were deleted but recoverable, but I'd rather not pay $90 for a problem I shouldn't have in the first place.

This is the second time this has happened in the past month.

You can try using a free program like Recuva by Piriform to recover the files, but recovering deleted files may not always work.

My guess is that the files are being deleted by another program on your computer, like a cleanup utility or security program. There's no reason that Firefox should be deleting files.
