I cannot get a full page, only half a page. What do I do?

I hit a wrong button and I don't know how to fix it. Now when Firefox comes up it is only half a page. I can fix it by using the little arrows on the edit function but only for the page I am on. When I go to a new page or a new site, I still get half a page. How do I get a full page all the time?

Hi katubaby, what edit function is that?

Do you have a split tab, a page opens on the left and a page opens on the right?

Bookmarks can be set to open in the sidebar, which usually is on the left side. That's usually not what you want, and you can turn that off using the Properties dialog for the bookmark. For example:

(1) Open the Bookmarks Sidebar using Ctrl+b (or "View Bookmarks Sidebar" from the bookmarks menu button)

(2) Find the bookmark that directs a page into the sidebar and right-click it, then click Properties

(3) In the lower left corner look for a checkbox labeled "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" and uncheck it

Then you can close the sidebar using the "X" button at the top near the Bookmarks heading.

Was that it?
