Why does Firefox jump from my homepage to another website?
When I open Firefox 61.0.2 (64-bit), it briefly shows my homepage: <http://ijpr.org>; then jumps to the KRWG New Mexico Public Media site: <http://www.krwg.org/>. Something similar happened about two weeks ago, except it jumped to a public TV site in yet a different state. It's weird that in both cases it jumped to other public media sites. I am still working with my provider on this, but I don't have the problem when using MS Edge. Any ideas?

If it is the above and is found, great. If not as no Extensions info was shared please Test : SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:
- all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
- default theme is used (no persona)

- Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
- hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Performance > Uncheck to view)

Tried Firefox Safe Mode. Problem is still there: I type http://www.ijpr.org/ into the URL bar, hit enter, Firefox immediately jumps to http://www.krwg.org/
You do not mention if you scanned. Please do as is a redirection issue which is caused by something.
Suggest clearing Cookies and Cache. You can put a Exception in to disallow cookies from the site.

Could look here here for the issue. Please Check in Options --> Home that there is not 2 Urls in the Homepage box. Click and then Right Arrow to check
I checked; http://www.ijpr.org/ is the only site shown. I then close Options and click on the Home icon above the Toolbar; up came http://www.krwg.org/. I tried going to JPR's Contact page, then clicked on their Home link. This led met o the correct website. I then went in to Options and clicked on Use Current Page. I closed Firefox, opened it again and Ratz! It went to KRWG again! Would reinstalling Firefox help?

Still not mentioned if used Malwarebytes or not .
Downloaded & installed Malwarebytes Free edition; ran it and quarantined 290 suggested problem files - mostly Driver Reviver stuff. Opened Firefox, typed in http://www.ijpr.org/; it jumped to www.krwg.org - again. If i go to, say, the JPR Contact link; then to their Home link, Firefox takes me to the correct site. If I set this as my home page, close Firefox; then open it again, there I am back at krwg. What's next?
