Hi, care to explain what you did to customize and did you click Save at page bottom of Customize ?
What about the rest of the profile? history, bookmarks, passwords . . . . .
First - I went to "Customize" and drag and drop the icons to new position. After that I close the window with "exit costomize". There is no "Save Button" at the bottom!
Second - I currently have a small problem.... I open my browser and have the old version (54.0.1). Without any bookmarks! Don't know why - must update again I think.
So, new version installed (again) and all bookmarks appeared again! Small correction: After my changes I press "DONE" (with the new version 60.0.1).

Unfortunately also with the new version it is the same. My customized "Home Button" is on the left side again when I started the Browser. Before I draged this button on the right. (see attached)
Hmmmm, I turned the Home-button to the right and booted my notebook,. And.... -- the button is still on the right! ...strange. I'll watch this and come back next week! Thanks for now!
Unfortunately today I found the home-icon on the left again, and the "show your bookmarks" icon was disappeared :-( I am really the only one with this problem?

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
Thanks for the hint! Unfortunately I can not change the settings in my virus protection program, because they are looked from our admin. It's a company notebook.... Anyway - thanks for the support!

The toolbar customization is stored in a pref named browser.uiCustomization.state, so check for issues with keeping preferences when you lose the toolbar customization.
