Firefox 57 cannot open and crashes the computer
Since Firefox automatically updated to version 57 on my work iMac, I cannot use it anymore. Every time I try to launch it, it doesn't even manage to open the homepage (which is google so nothing special there) and immediately freezes the entire computer, nothing responds anymore, as if the memory is completely used, even when I have only Firefox open. I tried to look in your forums and you suggested to reinstall Firefox (I did that and it's still not working), update the intel driver but the links you gave were all for windows, or open in safe mode which apparently you need to do from an open Firefox window (if I understood correctly) which I cannot do since it won't open without freezing my computer...
I don't really understand why this is happening since on my personal MacBook the new Firefox is running fine (although it was super slow in the beginning), and both computers are running on the same OS. It is really annoying as I cannot use Firefox at work, so I cannot access all my work-related tabs saved in there and it is really disturbing my work.
I hope you have some way to fix the problem.
Here is a detail of my system: Version 10.12.6 (16G1036) iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013) Processor 2,7 GHz Intel Core i5 Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Graphics Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

Thanks for your reply. When pressing shift while opening, I got a small window offering me the choice between opening in safe mode and repairing firefox, so first I tried the safe mode, but it was crashing all the same, so I tried the repair thing, which ran for few minutes, and now it’s working ! Thanks for your help !
