Every 24 hours Firefox (only) logs me out of my Outlook.com account. Why? How do I fix it?

Hi, The question above, says it all. For about the last month, each and every day, (every 24 hours) Firefox logs me out of Outlook.com, despite me checking to stay logged in. This doesn't happen using the MS Edge browser and I even downloaded Chrome, just to see if it did there, but its all OK. I hate Chrome and want my fantastic Firefox to work perfectly, like it used to. The only thing that changed at about that time was that I updated to a newer version of Bitdefender free, which did a few strange things to my PC. Could this be another? Can you help with this please? Thanks & Cheers, Rob

You can always uninstall Bit Defender, restart your PC, use Windows Defender for the time that you are testing if it is Bit Defenders issue or not. I understand that resetting your browser is not an option. Unfortunately, not much else I can offer you.

Bit defender can interfere with the browser in multiple ways. It could be an issue. Have you tried resetting your Firefox to default settings? Do you have any plugins that alter outlook or password managing? Have you tried cleaning cached files and cookies?

Thanks for answering Josh, If Bitdefender was the culprit wouldn't it do the same to Outlook on the other browsers? I really don't want to reset the default settings as it'd take me ages to put the (customised) browser back to how I like it. No, no plug-ins and I've cleaned the cache, several times. I will admit I haven't cleaned out cookies though. Thanks again, Rob

I bit the bullet and decided to "Refresh" Firefox after I deleted Bitdefender free. It took me a couple of hours to reset everything on the browser but all seems to be working well now.....well at least Outlook has gone for more than 24 hours without kicking me out. Thanks for your suggestions and advice. Its much appreciated.......and boy, aren't these forums great? Rob
