Have you opened that Log to see what it says? Typically logs like that are simple text files that are easily read with Notepad.

Any particular reason that you are using the Beta version? AFAIK, Norton doesn't support any Beta versions of web browsers and that particular issue might not show up in a full Release version of Firefox. At least we haven't heard about that particular file here.

I'm not using Firefox beta. The log says "There is growing evidence that this file is trustworthy", however it marks the risk as "high". It is something in the latest Firefox.exe releases that Norton doesn't like. I'm wondering if, by any chance, the distributed executable got some problem. For now Norton is just logging and not taking actions. I'm trying to use Norton removal tool but it doesn't seem to work

Sorry, I now see update channel as beta? Why? I didn't choose it! I have Firefox "standard" but the update channel is beta??

You may once have installed a beta version that got you on the beta update release channel.

You can install the full version of the current Firefox release (50.1.0) if you do not have a reason to use a beta test release.
