When I click within an email message with a link such as Amazon, my default browser, Firefox, crashes (fault module name Stackhash). I also loose the ability to open Firefox directly for a period of time (up to a few days) before it returns.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps.
