How do I "allow and remember" for all websites for extensions/add-on(s) (instead of individually)?
I'm on Firefox 40.0.3 and every website I go to end up prompting me for several extensions (Nuance Dragon, Dataviz PasswordsPlus, Avast Anti-Virus, Nuance PDF, Wondershare Video Converter, etc). It is time consuming and ignoring.
In fact, it ends up defeating securing, as I just press allow and then allow and remember without even thinking. What I need is a way to deal with this BEFORE ever going to a website.
Additionally, I don't need nor want Firefox being my Nanny / Mother! How do I get Firefox to let me be an adult and trust the add-on / extension / plugin of MY choice!?
Let me worry about the security of my own computer, as if Firefox were to mess up I'd still be the one on the hook to fix the computer, right?! Right!

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open the Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac:<Command>) <Shift> A)
On the left side of the page, select Plugins. Make sure the ones you want to use are set to Ask or Allow.
Go to the web page. Once the page is loading, mouse to the address bar and Left click the icon. A window for displaying site information should come up. Select More Information. Now select Permissions. In the menu, Make sure the ones you want to use are set to Ask or Allow.

How do you mean? Are they offering these? Every web site? You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

BTW, I'm an Amazon.com customer and have several of their free and pay instant video. As:
- Amazon Instant Video uses Silverlight
- I'm on Windows 10
- and also on Firefox 40.0.3, which is the best version for Windows 10
I noticed problem with Silverlight and Firefox 40.0.3 with Amazon Instant Video -- it doesn't work. The Amazon.com website keeps saying there is a problem with Silverlight. Yet:
- When I go to the Microsoft Silverlight website, there "verify" page says it installed correctly. (Plus I uninstalled and installed it, at least, 4 times just today.)
- The Amazon Instant Video does work with the MS-IE 11 that comes with Windows 10. Yet I would prefer to use Firefox.
Anyone have thoughts on getting Amazon Instant Video to work with Windows 10 and Firefox?

Thank you for your reply and question. What I mean is on every website I go, Firefox asks me to block or allow a bunch of add-on(s)/plugins/extensions. It isn't the site asking, but Firefox, as I've yet to allow or block that specific site.
I'm hoping the earlier suggestion, which I implemented stops this question - at least - for the Dragon extension/add-on.
One possible reason for Firefox not to remember that you allowed plugins fro a site would be if Firefox is set to clear history at shutdown and the category "Site Preferences" is selected for clearing.
To make sure that is not the case, you can check here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Privacy
with the page set to "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history"
if "Clear history when Firefox closes" is selected, click the Settings button to the right and you can confirm that Site Preferences are not to be cleared.

Thank you for your reply, but at this point Firefox's configuration is pretty much vanilla. Other than setting the home page, tab default, installing add-on(s) and plugins, and restoring passwords, as well as bookmarks, Firefox is as Mozilla provides it to people.
Can you attach a screenshot that shows such a dialog?

You're right, because some times when I clock on a "submit form button" nothing happens with Firefox. I'm not sure why, but suspect it is an addon or plugin. YET, I'm not using anything (I consider) designed to interfere with or intercept a submit button. I also have yet to take the time necessary to disable my 40 or so addon(s)/plugins and then bring them individually back online.

Thanks! I found my changing the Dragon by Nuance plugin to always activate the prompt went away. I guess it has been the plugin and not the extension / add-on all along, as the list I see is for PLUGINS and not EXTENSIONS.
