1) In researching Unable… I was lead to deleting "Teredo Tunneling" from the device (network apps) after which a reboot should restore operation. Not so. Tried FF restore: no good. (Thunderbird is working fine) Help! Thanks Dave

Is Firefox unable to access any website?

Have you installed or updated any Firewall or Antivirus recently?

Thanks for your reply, listeruk, (just getting back, on another computer - hadn't been able to address this problem since post) No, Firefox will not open any webside, not my default site, no link from Thunderbird... And no, I haven't personally updated my firewall or antivirus lately. I also tried a Microsoft restore to a date/time of a few days ago in order to undo my dumping of the Teredo Tunneling app and to see it that would magically fix the problem. This resulted in an error in FF: cannot load XPCOM. I'm tempted to ignore this and uninstall FF and re install. Advice? What steps should I follow to accomplish this? Thanks again. Dave
