My firefox startup now shows istartsurf.com when I sign on - no sign of firefox anymore.

In addition I can no longer get access to my webmail account which is tiscali through talk talk, all my othere functions are as normal, except the default search which is now Groovorio.

Any idea as to what I might have done?

Thank you if you can help.

Geoff

hello Geoff, you've probably got unwanted adware and malicious software on your system.

try to run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner - they are specialised in removing browser hijackers.

Hi geoffharris,

This could be due to an adware or potentially unwanted program or even programs that hijack browsers on your computer.

You should run AdwCleaner which will delete this kind of program if any of these is found.

You can get it here.

Thank you very very much. This seems to be a very common maleware but not over dangerous, more extremely annoying.

Your suggested download seems to have worked, so I am very thankful.

Best wishes

Geoff
