Try allowing pop up windows

this is if you are using gmail... can still try it for others just use their address instead of mail.google.com

Open Menu Options Content (on the top) Click Exceptions... Type mail.google.com in address of website area Click Allow

Try to open attachment window now. Restart FireFox and try adding attachment again.
