Four days ago the Att server started to refuse my password (I assume that was it). After four changes of password, including in Thunderbird, the password keeps being refused. Have exhausted several att agents who can't figure out why it doesn't work. One thought the server settings were correct.

Can you at least tell us WHEN you plan to release the fix since you locked the comments to block the countless negative ones? Is it so hard for your UX team to understand that removing multiselect functionality is like removing Ctrl+C, and Ctrl+V and set the correct priority???

I started Thunderbird yesterday and apparently did not recognize the profile. It required me to completely set up a whole new account for my emails. Consequently I lost a number of important emails. How can I get it back to my original account? And, for future reference, what is the best way to back up the emails in a manner that PDF or microsoft can recognize the format? Please advise.

when I search for Quicktext Tutorials i see a nicely working application which allows me to manage text components and include them neatly in my writing. But what is actually showing after installation is a bit meager.
I can choose between "variables" and "other". ""Variables" is of no use at all, Other" simly allowes me to include a saved file in text or html from a folder. Well, thats a bit stoneage like, but I would have worked with that option, but:
Unfortunately, there is no way that Quicktext will save textsnippets as html or text. I definitely do not see myself copying parts of emails into notepad and saving them manually. That would be a very lame automation and definitely not quick enough ;). Also I am looking for the sort of "preview" Outlook is offering with Quick Parts.
Does anyone know anything about this problem or can recommend a better addon? I hate writing the same stuff again and again and again.

My inbox does not show any message, even though there are two of them (and more incoming, there was one when the issue started). As far as I can see, I have no filters of any kind activated.
Any idea how to see the invisible messages again?

I have the wrong server setting. It is currently using the server name "imap01.crystone.se" but I need to have "imap.websupport.se". Everytime I try to change this it changes back to the first server name again. I have tried to reinstall thunderbird, and deleted the account and adding it again, but nothing works. As for now I can't see or write any emails. Any ideas?

After updating to the latest Thunderbird I checked my emails and closed the program - but not from the inbox. Now, T'bird insists on opening into that same screen and there is no link to to show my inbox. I have removed and re-installed T'bird with no result. I have tried approximately 15 'sure' fixes from the internet and Mozilla but without success. Finally I read that the new version will open the screen which you were last using at shutdown, but there is no link to open the inbox. There is no link to the inbox on the left side of screen nor a down caret on the right hand side of screen. I have no folders showing, such as "Inbox", "Drafts", "Sent" or 'Local Folder'. I have referred to the Mozilla list of shortcuts without success. My inbox is not empty F5 and Shift + F5 do nothing. The email address for my PC is: albanv@netspace.net.au How can I show my inbox?

I have been using Thunderbird for more than a decade. I have two email addresses at verizon.net. Suddenly this week one of them stopped working an an message asking for my password appears dozens of times. AOL now manages the verizon.net email server. I can login using my password to the host email for that email account so I know that a password associated with that account. But I suspect the problem is a different password and I don't know how to fix it.
If I go to Tools/setting in Thunderbird, there is button labeled "Saved Passwords.
For the working email account, there are two records. For the failing email account, there is only one record. the one that is missing is "mailbox://pop.verizon.net" I suspect that is the problem.
Any ideas about whether my analysis is correct and, if so what to do about it?

The reason is that some conversations now have 30 odd messages and I have a terrible time finding the exact message I want. This would be much easier if all emails were sorted by date and time only as I can see the title of each. How do I stop sorting by conversation and replace it with standard date and time?
