What does the popup message 'Pending update of Firefox snap. Please close the app to avoid disruptions.', mean because that message doesn't give enough information to figure out what it means. I got that before when the last update happened and after that update every time I boot FF can't restore my tabs but I just click try again and it always works. Since I am getting the message again I thought I would try asking on the FF forums to find out what it means and maybe get the boot problem where FF can't restore the tabs when it first starts up fixed.

Kubuntu 22.04 last updated yesterday from all official Kubuntu/Ubuntu repos.

Firefox just locks up. The mouse cursor can be used to resize the window, but is otherwise unresponsive, except to to minimize, maximize or close the window. If I click minimize and then restore the window, Firefox will have executed the last mouse-click before minimizing. This happens after five minutes or so after starting Firefox, whether I have only 4 or 5 tabs open, or a whole pile of tabs. All I can do is click X in top RHS, and then restart Firefox. Then click the "recently closed tabs" to get back to where I was. I have tried clearing the cache and (most of) the cookies. As well I did a complete refresh of Firefox, and disabled all the add-ons, but the problem is still there Running on a (old) Lenovo Thinkpad E545 with 16GB, Ubuntu in a SSD using a 50 GB partn with 30GB free. This problem occurs only in Firefox- all other apps continue to run!

In the Flatpak version of Firefox 103.0.2 the resize handles do not appear when you hover over any of the 4 edges of the firefox window unless you hold down the left mouse button, then they appear, but you have to get the mouse pointer just right before pressing the left mouse button. I notice on several forums that this has been like this for the last 2 months, are the team at Mozilla working on a fix, cheers

Ever since the update to Firefox 102 and continuing in 103, Netflix gives a F7701-1003 when attempting playback, naturally playback works fine(as it always does every time FF does this with each new release) in Chrome and Brave. All previous suggested work arounds do not resolve this issue.

Since no one answered this question the last 5 times people had to ask similar questions I will repeat this basic question.

Does Mozilla not test their updates prior to release?

Firefox locking up -- one, two, or up to 8 tabs open doesn't matter!

I've only been having it issue since upgrading to Ubuntu 22.04. Firefox (103.0.2) will lock up (not the pc, it will keep working in other apps). It doesn't seem to matter about the number of tabs open, or what sites I'm accessing. It 'seems' random, and closing Firefox and reopening it seems to work for a short while before locking up again. I'm not a tech guru so I don't know exactly what to include here, like logs, or other info. The other issue associated with this issue is, when it locks, and I restart, Firefox does not start the first time I click on it. I have to click on it again and when I do, it will start, but usually (not every time) I get an error message along with the open home page of Firefox. I have to press the (not sure what to call it) windows key and switch to the error to close it. In the past, I've always had a great experience with Firefox, but this is starting to really be annoying! Especially when I have four of five tabs open and have to do a restart. Firefox doesn't seem to realize it's had a problem so the option to re-open tabs with a restart doesn't happen. So I have to use history, which can be troublesome and confusing, to get back to the pages I was reading. I only open multiple tabs most often when I'm researching an issue and want to 'order' the tabs so I read the ones that look like they apply the most to my research topic. So it really is an annoying issue. So much so, that I have been looking to switch browsers. But I really do not like the large commercial entities not to name names, but I may have to suck it up and install the Big G's browser, the Big C! )^: (note: if you respond requesting additional information, please be kind and offer how to obtain the info! Thanks!)

Home built. PC Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS

Since we have update our OS from Ubuntu 20.04 LTS to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (a few days ago) Firefox has only shown a Blank screen at first start up, only the very top line is visible showing "Activities" then "Firefox Web Browser". Nothing will work, the only thing that does is Quit.

Restarting Firefox the second time seems to work Okay.

Please can you advise me?

Hi - I'm signed into firefox sync on two different computers, both running Ubuntu 20.04. I can tell that they're connected to the same account because I can see the other computer in the list for "Send tab to device".

However, the bookmarks aren't syncing - one computer has the full set, the other (newly set up) computer still has the default bookmarks.

When I check `about:sync-log`, I see these lines:

``` 1654551773179 Sync.Doctor INFO Skipping check of prefs - disabled via preferences 1654551773179 Sync.Doctor INFO Skipping check of passwords - disabled via preferences 1654551773179 Sync.Doctor INFO Skipping check of tabs - disabled via preferences 1654551773179 Sync.Doctor INFO Skipping check of bookmarks - disabled via preferences 1654551773179 Sync.Doctor INFO Skipping check of addons - disabled via preferences 1654551773179 Sync.Doctor INFO Skipping check of forms - disabled via preferences 1654551773179 Sync.Doctor INFO Skipping check of history - disabled via preferences 1654551773179 Sync.Doctor INFO Skipping check of extension-storage - disabled via preferences 1654551773179 Sync.Doctor INFO Skipping validation: no engines qualify 1654551773179 Sync.Status DEBUG Status.sync: success.sync => success.sync 1654551773179 Sync.Status DEBUG Status.service: success.status_ok => success.status_ok 1654551773180 Sync.Synchronizer INFO Sync completed at 2022-06-06 14:42:53 after 1.48 secs. ```
That is, it seems to think that bookmark syncing is disabled - however, I have bookmark syncing enabled, as you can see in the attached screenshot.
I have recently updated to Xubuntu 22 and in the process my firefox was migrated to the snap version. Now firefox is using its own mouse pointer style (smaller pointer, "hand with cuff pointing left" instead of "hand pointing up" over links). I can edit the system style of my mouse pointer, but that does not change the mouse pointer while in Firefox. This seems the same problem like these two questions: - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1380997 - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1369875
How do I make Firefox use the system settings for the mouse pointer? Or at least how do I change the mouse pointer style/settings for Firefox snap at all?
For reference my Firefox Version is 104.0.2 (64-bit) Mozilla Firefox Snap for Ubuntu. My desktop environment is xfce 4.16.
Thanks, Peter
Youtube live streams work fine on windows, but they don't work at all under Linux. Firefox is up to date on both my operating systems that I dual-boot. Getting an NS_BINDING_ABORTED error in the network console. I deleted my profile to be sure it wasn't due to any extensions or settings I've changed, and the problem remains. The Linux itself is also a fresh installation, and I had to download a tgz version and remove the snap to get the latest, because Ubuntu was stuck at 99.
I see an archived question that's similar but no real answer was provided.
I'm running Ubuntu 22 and I've checked to see if there's a way to only mute Firefox but so far I have not found anything. Chrome works fine. Videos and audio clips play fine. My Audacity and other editing tools work fine. Only Firefox refuses to play any audio.
