Cant change tab page to anything other than mozilla's homepage
Used to have the newtab page set for my tabs. After installing a program bing took-over. I removed bing but not the tabs are only mozilla's start page. When I change it in about:config, no matter what I put the same page still comes up.
Any ideas?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Problem was solved in safe mode so following the instructions rectified the issue. Thanks for the help.
