There is no display of the website address of the open tab. How can I send a website location to someone or save it in a document for future use?
I think the question is self-explanatory. I cannot directly load a website address nor can I copy/paste an address for other uses. I want this capacity again. It is pretty basic to want to know the address of the site one is looking at.
I don't know the specific name of the display area for the web address of the current site if it has one, sorry.

If the menu bar is hidden then press F10 or hold down the Alt key, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear
See Restore the Menu bar in Firefox)
Make sure that you have the Navigation Toolbar visible and that the location bar is on it.
See:
- Back and forward or other toolbar buttons are missing
- Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars
- If items are missing then go to "View > Toolbars > Customize" and see if you can find the missing item(s) in the toolbar palette
- If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window onto the toolbar
- If you do not see that item then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up
