Site-sensitive download locations

Before version 98 of Firefox, it would remember where I downloaded files to based on what site I'm downloading the file from. For example: when I would download a statement PDF from American Express, the Firefox download prompt would automatically be navigated to <...documents\records\AmEx\statements>. Then, when I would go to download something like the latest Firefox installer, the download prompt would automatically start in the folder <...programs\standard programs\Firefox>. No navigation needed in either case. Now, with version 98, all Firefox can remember is the last place I downloaded to, with no memory of site context. (This includes sites I've been to more than once since the update to version 98.)

This was a very convenient, time-saving feature. Is there any way to restore this site-contextual memory of download directories?

(I tried searching through existing questions, but my apologies if I missed an existing question on this topic.)

Thank you!

I thought that this was a privacy setting thing but maybe not. I use variations of the same settings at home and work and thought they became cross-contaminated and couldn't figure out what to do. I hope somebody can chime in with a remedy!
