without any kind of warning firefox stopped working this morning. not a single web page will load. i switched to edge and went back to the ff settings page to retrieve a login. there i saw an alert that my password for ff might have been compromised. i changed it in edge and now i'm signed out and clicking 'sign-in' just gives me the spinning wheel. any help would be much appreciated!

this is so strange - yes, it seems to have worked! even though i had done a complete restart on my laptop when i first encountered the problem.

Earlier today, Firefox became unresponsive due to a change in defaults by a cloud provider which triggered a Firefox HTTP/3 bug. We disabled the configuration change and confirmed this fixed the issue.

thanks to both of you who replied. my first restart must have been before the problem was fixed.
