Lost previous session, 20 Windows and several tags per window all gone
Firefox has been really buggy for a long time now and today it proposed that I do a "refresh". It said all my windows would be restored..... I did the refresh and the window that was previously open duly appeared to have been restored - it was a window button saying "restore previous session". So I clicked on it to get back all my windows and tabs, but the button turned grey and never went any further.... I then tried trouble-shooting having checked this forum and I tried replacing the "sessionstore.jsonlz4" from a TimeCapsule backup 12 hours earlier, but it doesn't make any différence. When I reopen FF it carries on as if the 20 missing windows never existed. So PLEASE can someone tell me what file(s?) I should be copying? /restoring(?) from TimeMachine to rollback and recover all the missing windows. Huge thanks in advance :-)

Well if the sessionstore.js doesn't bring the sessions back that would mean they are no longer there.
Hello WestEnd, Thanks for your comment... Forgive my ignorance, but I'm not sure I understand you(!)... Going back a step... What is the name of the file which records the open windows and tabs at the end of a session?
And exactly where is is that file to be found?
Surely, if I take said file from a backup on Time Machine of 24 hours ago, and either restore it, or copy it to today's FF app, and then open the app, I should get the windows and tabs that I had 24 hours ago... if not, why not?! If such a file exists, it should be easy to find on the TM and duly restore - or am I misunderstanding how things work?! Thanks in advance... :-)
You only option to bring back the sessions is to look at your history list to find them but if that is cleared out then it's gone.
