I want the rss feature of Firefox back. Which of the new rss readers is understandable ?
I could find the rss feed from a website and put it in the address bar (ruv.is/rss/innlent for example) or let Firefox find it having the symbol in the toolbar. Not anymore. Now firefox is like any other browser. What is this : file:///C:/Users/Notandi/AppData/Local/Temp/innlent-5

Those are issues about old places code running synchronously on the main Firefox thread like with the description field and there is not enough developer time available to rewrite the code to run asynchronously in it own thread.

Try the Brief addon, Feedbro or this Livemarks addon, which brings back the old functionality of rss bookmarks.

I have tried them. It comes out in a mess. I have this Tor browser also. It still has this feature as Firefox had. It seems to be related to Firefox (?) It reminds me of updating. I will not update because I am afraid it will stop having this useful RSS after the update.
I do not know how to use these new feed readers. They are not useful at all.

It is based on the Firefox 60 ESR.
I only use one feed, for the BBC, which I rely upon every single day, all day long.
I have used Firefox for 15 years of continual changes, more and more of them being about what makes things easier for FIREFOX, and less easy for the actual Firefox users.
This is the last straw for me.
Please provide a viable alternative to Firefox I can use while they either come to their senses about news feeds or lose me and other lifer users for life. At this point I am willing to install Chrome if need be.

Maybe I should have marked this as solved. Just to download Firefox 60 ESR. Hope it is not rather for professionals. Or use Tor based on it. There was no warning. Mozilla "updated" automatically and skipped RSS.
