  2. Hi All,

    The about:config preference to hide the Unified Extensions Button has been removed in Fx 111 - this is necessary to make sure that when add-ons move to MV3 that they will still work. Users who already flipped that preference will see the UEB reappear. There are plans to allow the UEB to be moved on the toolbar, but it will not be possible to hide it.

  3. Since the extensions.unifiedExtensions.enabled preference is no longer available in Firefox 111, I updated the Manage your extensions using the extensions button in the toolbar Common Questions section, Can I remove the extensions button from the toolbar or customize its location? to make the following only show for fx110 and below, as follows: {for not fx111}(Modifying the advanced preference to disable this new feature is not supported and may prevent full use of some add-ons.){/for}

  6. There are several reports of Mac users not being able to drag and drop files from the Downloads button drop-down and/or Downloads List to their Mac desktop starting last Thursday. Does this ring a bell?

    (I couldn't find a bug in Bugzilla for this, but I often miss things in searches...)

    Not sure, but I can ask if there is an open bug about this somewhere.

    I spoke with the Relman team and they noted there wasnt a bug submitted for this that they know of at this time.

    jscher2000, If you are so inclined, can you create a bug and either link it here for me to review or mention Donal in the bug so he can review it from there?

  12. From https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/drm-video-playback-issues-windows-arm-devices/revision/258657 (submitted by Jim Mathies, pending review) Previously there was an issue with DRM media playback in all versions of Desktop Firefox running on ARM-based Windows devices. This issue prevented users from viewing content on popular streaming sites like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Disney+.

    This issue has been resolved for Firefox versions 111 and newer, and for Enterprise ESR versions 102.10 and newer.

    See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/drm-video-playback-issues-windows-arm-devices/discuss/11126 for the background. The related bug 1804882 is still restricted so I don't want to approve the revision. Can someone else?

    From the discussion thread for the Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues article: We should probably add a small note to the Application Basics User Agent paragraph, regarding use of 'rv:109.0' for Firefox versions 110-119. (This is an IE11 workaround, to be removed in fx120)

  16. Hi Y'all.

    One of our Add-ons Engineers was interested knowing what the top question on the extensions button have been recently, In addition to what kind of responses we have been sending back to users for those. If you have seen anything recently or over the last month or two, let me know.

  18. What I do not like about the Extensions button is that if you do not have extensions installed, clicking the button opens a new tab with the about:addons page and you lose focus to the current tab and I need to find my way back. I have a lot of Firefox versions and profiles and do not always know/remember whether I have extensions installed or just click the button accidentally. I would prefer that you always get the drop-down and can decide for yourself if you want to proceed.
