Since the upgrade to firefox, when in Thunderbird email, clicking on a link in thunderbird does NOT open a window in Firefox. Please fix!!

It used to be when I clicked on a link in Thunderbird, it would open a tab in Firefox. Since the upgrade (?) this no longer works.

Also when opening a new tab in Thunderbird, the new tab would show thumbnails of past sites which was very convenient. Now that doesn't work either.

Any suggestions???
