I'm trying to delete my history but no matter how many times I try my history is still there, how can I totally empty my history?

I have gone to Tools > Clear Recent History > Selected Everything and checked all options and yet my history is not being deleted. What else can I do to delete everything (except my bookmarks)????

Do you mean that you still see history in the sidebar (Ctrl+H) and in the Library (History > Show All History) ?

If that is happening then you may have a problem with places.sqlite See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Bookmarks_history_and_toolbar_buttons_not_working_-_Firefox
