On a laptop we get the following message when we try to open program: "Thunderbird is already running, but is not responding. The old Thunderbird process must be closed to open a new window." I don't see any other instance of Thunderbird already running. HELP!!! Thanks!

rightclick on taskbar (I am assuming you use windows) and click to open task manager. On that screen, highlight thunderbird, rightclick and select to close the task
