I think, after updating to edition 107.0b1, firefox developer edition is not applying the following (to remove sidebar width limit) from UserChrome file: 

/* remove maximum/minimum width restriction of sidebar */
#sidebar {
  max-width: none !important;
  min-width: 0px !important;}
