Hello, I need your help on this point.

I work with Thunderbird 78.4.0 for iMac Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6, and no way, the folder color does not work. In Properties, I can access to the color and change it, but the folder itself remains unchanged, yellow, basic. I have the light theme, but I have also tried with the Default and Dark ones, it is the same ! The only add-ons I have are the dictionaries.

I have tried to restarting in « safe mode », then I can see the standard folders icons and they are colored, but their font size is so small that I can't read anything !!!

So I would like to see again the default folder icons, all fonts as they were before (big) AND the colored folders. It is not a matter of « being nice », it is an issue because I can't see well and I need it for my work. Please note I add the add-on « Coloured Folders » which was fantastic, but it unfortunately doesn't work any more with Thunderbird 78.4.0 ...

Could you please urgently help me ? I use it for working and I can't see well, so it is really important for me.

You have yellow folders?

I'd think that yellow folders is something left over from an add-on or a local customization.

Do you still see yellow folders if you do Help -> restart with add-ons disabled?

On my Mac I have increased the resolution, i.e. scaled resolution, to display larger text. Go to system preferences and type in "resolution", change to scaled, and pick your desired size.

However, I can't change this as I work with several screens, and it changes also other things.

Also, I don't want to systematically open / restart Thunderbird in « safe mode » ! The bug should be solved separately.

I think I have found the solution : in the adds-on, I add something called « Phonetic icons » ! I don't know what it is, if you have any idea, please advise.

That said, I have disabled it, and it works : I have the colored folder and the big font size ! Yessss !

It will be fantastic now if the folder was fully colored and not only the outline. It would be more visible.
