Hello,

Intending to abandon Firefox as of Daylight, and I wish to export my bookmarks in a format that I can import into another Android browser. How can I do that?

Thank you.

Hi

You will need to use Firefox Sync to export them to a desktop copy of Firefox. This support article (https://mzl.la/2FqQRPq) should help you to get started with Firefox Sync.

When in a desktop copy of Firefox, go to about:logins, select the three dot menu on the right hand side and choose the export option.

Hi Seburo,

Thank you for the reply!

What an absolute nuisance, but, Thank you for your help. I'll update here if I succeed or if I run into problems. I tried sync a few years ago without success (sync with my Linux desktop FF, could not make it work).

Cheers.

Firefox Sync is greatly improved - I use it to link several different devices without any problem.

Greetings Seburo,

Thanks again for your offer of assistance.

I've instead manually copied & pasted my bookmarks into another browser and bookmarked them there. And pinned my favorites to my sortable speed dial, which is on my landing page in my new browser. And exported them from that browser as HTML in case I want them elsewhere.

Mozilla: export/import functionality is among the most basic things a person could always do from a browser. Your sync may be super, but it isn't import/export. "Firefox" leaves my device today.

Thank you, and have a nice day :)
