How do I removed an old email account from Thunderbird?
I have several old email accounts programmed in on Thunderbird that are no longer operational. But I can't get them off. I know there is bound to be a way, but I can't figure it out. HELP please!

hi Candance, I assume you have tried -> Meny item "Preferences" -> Accounts settings -> click on the relevant account or alternatively click on the account making it chosen, on the right hand side pane choose "view settings for this account" and then in "Account Action" (at the bottom of the pane) choose "Remove Account".
You will get an option to "Remove message data", so you may actually remove the account together with all emails stored locally or only the account leaving your emails locally (as a side note be aware that if it's a POP email account all emails should have been removed from the server and you should only have emails stored locally). This should remove a specific email account.
If you still can't remove the account(s) please revert and let us know which operating system (Mac/Win/Linux) and will try to give further support/precise instructions.
All the best from Stockholm.
