I need help with my extension FVD Speed Dial that I lost because of firefox and it has said for several months that they were fixing it and they haven't
I was using FVD Speed Dial and all of a sudden I lost it months ago. When I click on it in extensions it says the following: "★★★ Firefox accidentally disabled all extensions, they will fix it soon ★★★ Firefox certificate expired and ALL add-ons got disabled! Please be patient, do NOT remove any add-ons, Firefox team is working on a fix." I use to use Super Start and I lost it so I got Speed Dial because Firefox recommended it, (which they still do) and now I can't get it. I would think after several months it should be fixed. That is what I used as my home page and I had things saved that I have lost. I would really appreciate some help.

Hi grannyrosey2, yes, that was fixed a long time ago. The current version of FVD Speed Dial is 72.1.5 and you should be able to enable it without difficulty (use the ••• menu to the right of the extension's name to Enable it if needed).
Perhaps your extensions stopped updating for some reason. Could you click the "gear" icon above the Extensions list and select Check for Updates to see whether that helps get the latest version?
If you want to share a list of your extensions with their version numbers and Enabled/Disabled status, the easiest way is to copy/paste it from the Troubleshooting Information page. Either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help > Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
Scroll down past "Application Basics" and "Firefox Features" to "Extensions". Then you can select and copy the table that follows (not the entire page, please, that's too much information) using either Ctrl+c or right-click > Copy and then paste it into a reply. It will be messy, but we're used it.
I actually removed it and downloaded it again and it still says the same thing. It also says updated 10/18/19. Clicking on the three dots only gives me the the choice of disable, remove, options, or report.

It is enabled. But it's not working? What does it normally do -- replace your home/new tab page?
(The description on the Add-ons page should update at some point to match the current text on the Add-ons site. But that doesn't affect whether it works or not.)
I have changed my home page to speed dial numerous times. I have been trying every thing I can over and over ever since I lost it.
Hi grannyrosey2, is the problem with both the home page (first page in a new window, Ctrl+n) and the new tab page (Ctrl+t)?
When you look at the Options page, Home panel, does Firefox say that FVD Speed Dial or another extension is controlling the home page, or does it only mention the built-in options (blank page, Firefox Home, etc.)?
An extension, FVD Speed Dial, is controlling your New Tab page.

Is that part working -- when you press Ctrl+t you see FVD there?
For the home page -- Ctrl+n -- could you go into the FVD settings and make sure the box is checked: https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/previews/full/84/84268.png
