Some folders are not synchronizing, and when I click "Repair folder" nothing happens, how do I get it to synchronize?
I just added Thunderbird yesterday and it seems to be working fine (which was not the case with my old email client after I bought a new computer with Windows 10). But one folder in particular and most of its subfolders are not synchronizing (interestingly, one of the subfolders appears and is synchronizing, but none of the other subfolders are showing up in TB). The folder in question appears in italics, but there is nothing in it, although I know there are messages in the email server for that folder. I went to "Folder Properties" and tried "Repair Folder," but nothing happened. I also checked "When getting new messages always check this folder," but that did not help. What do I need to do to get this folder and its subfolders to synchronize. I am grateful for whatever help you can offer.

Make sure you're subscribed the missing folders.

What exactly is the folder in question? Apparently it's visible in Thunderbird as opposed to the others invisible ones above. Please be more specific.
Thank you. It was simply beginner's ignorance. I did not know that there are options for subscribing to folders. That fixed the problem, but now it revealed another problem. On a different account, this one a Microsoft Exchange from my employer, there are several folders that are properly subscribed, but the subfolders are not showing up, not even in the list of folders to subscribe to. When I look more closely, I see that the folders I am subscribed to are actually subfolders under my general folder for my employer. Is it possible to subscribe to subfolders of subfolders? Thank you again for your help.
I'm not exactly sure with Exchange. In any case, your corporate IT folks need to enable IMAP and SMTP on the Exchange server, which is presumably the case. But how many levels of sub-folders are allowed I don't know. You should talk to your corporate IT folks.
