Whenever I load a page in Firefox that has sound effects built in, including: - Facebook with it message and notifications sounds. - Any site with video advertisements with sound (even if the sound is off by default) - Any site with sound content in general, i.e Youtube.

Any time a sound plays on Firefox, it automatically lowers the volume of any other sounds running at the same time; may it be music from a media player, a video from a media player, or anything else for that matter. The Facebook messages, in fact, even pause any video playing, for the duration of the sound effect.

How do I stop Firefox from interfering with my computer usage, without closing it?
