The FAQ currently only states that Mozilla VPN uses Mullvad servers but does not go into detail on how the user's anonymity is guarded.

Mullvad uses numbered accounts and you can even pay cash to remain anonymous.

How does Mozilla provide anonymity for VPN customer? Are the numbered accounts somehow used?

Our privacy policy has been through legal so it should have some more information about the privacy claims as we're essentially beholden to it:

Eve, thanks for the link to the privacy statement for the Mozilla VPN!

That the internet traffic goes through Mullvad servers and that my current source IP is necessary for the communication is clear but...

Is there a persistent identifier that associates my Mozilla account with the traffic sent through Mullvad?

In other words, if I connect from different IP locations on two different occasions, is there a way to associate the traffic from the two sessions besides browser fingerprinting, cookies set by visited sites etc?
