Why Firefox Preview blocks ads on websites when the ad blocker add-on is off?

I really like the the way Firefox Preview blocks the trackers, but it also blocks every single ads, even the non intrusive ones when the add-on for ad blocking is turned off. I think (non intrusive) ad blocking should be optional.

Hi Balint

Do you have an example of a website where this is happening?

It's happening with every single website I visit, uBlock Origin add-on is not installed. Screenshots added

Hi

I have just tried that page with the latest Nightly version of Firefox Preview and the advert at the top of the page did load.

If you are using the Nightly version, please can you make sure the app is up to date and try again...it may work now. If you are using the Beta version, this may be a fix that will be included in a future update.

Thanks for your reply, I'm not using the nightly version, my version is the latest 4.2.1 from the Play Store, released on the 3rd of April. I tried the nightly version after reading your reply and you're right, it doesn't block ads. I hope this will be fixed with the next update for the non-nighthly build.

Hi

No problem, glad I have been able to help.

Yes, the changes and fixes in Nightly will be included in the Beta version when they are ready, hopefully very soon.
