Crash-ID b06492ea-4ea8-400e-a4de-aea4b0170712

Two Days ago, for no apparent reason, Firefox crashed at startup. I had tried to start Firefox via Comodo Firewall 10. I tried to start Firefox v. 54 but it crashed before I had time to write a web-adress (3 seconds). I also couldn't open the start menu. I tried again to open Firefox, restart the computer but no change.

I've tried solving it by scanning for viruses and malware, no viruses found, malware were put in quarantine. I've made a clean delete and reinstallation of Firefox. I've used that checklist from appropriate web pages completing all the steps (e.g. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-crashes-troubleshoot-prevent-and-get-help). (This include trying to use safe mode). I've also used other webbrowsers, which work fine. If I don't try to start Firefox the start menu works as well.

I would be grateful for all help I can get.

Firefox v 54 crashes on startup. No plugins (all disabled). Windows 10 home, fully updated. Both regular and safe mode. Tried reinstalling, same result. Removed all vestiges of the application, including everything on the hard drive and in the registry, reboot, reinstall, same result. Created a new user account on computer, clean then reinstall, same result. Tried installing Firefox ESR 52.2.1, same result. Sometimes gets as far as displaying the "oops this is embarrassing" screen, but that's it. Updated Radeon HD 7660D graphics, same result. This appears to have started when Windows 10 updated to version 1703. Same crash ID generated every time, here it is: Crash ID: bp-17b08629-e8fb-4888-8a0c-423ba0170711 Thanks for any help or ideas you can provide. Steve
