With 37.0.1, FF is hogging CPU again (98%). It was fixed in recent versions, but it's back. I've done the usual "see if this works" drill; no effect.
The question sums it up. I'm sure it's not add-ons. FF is so slow that when I type in a GoogleDocs doc, it takes 5+ seconds for the characters to appear. This problem was lately fixed from one version to the next. I hope that can be done again.
Re the little survey that FF has going, this problem makes the difference between very satisfied and pretty darn dissatisfied.

Open a Firefox with no tabs loaded up
1) Open new tab
2) In the URL (after cleared it ) type in about:memory
*I bookmarked it under Mozilla folder in bookmarks
3) The press the first button at top that reads Measure 4) you might to close out Firefox then reopen Firefox with no pages open then do the about:memory so that no pages of stuff is load in memory.
More info here
about:memory - Mozilla | MDN https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/d.../about%3Amemory
It could be a bad Firefox load or a add-on
Try this add-on out. (still works for 37)
about:addons-memory :: Add-ons for Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/fire.../about-addons-memory/
Then...
1) Open new tab 2) In the URL (after cleared it ) type in about:addons-memory

Dear Mrbunnylamikins, You are also a sweetheart. I'm afraid I'll have to wait for the weekend to try your solutions. But I'll do it ASAP, so watch this space. Thanks and more later!
