Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit Machine All I get now is an image frame with a "torn letter" icon in the top left. I checked my settings....no joy. The cursor is in the right place too. I have been inserting images with no problem until the update today 6/11/2014 @ 6:00 PM to v24.6.0 However, I am able to clipboard copy the image from my graphics program and paste it into the body of the message at the cursor with no problem. Something has happened due to this update. Love Thunderbird...need this feature badly. Fix and or advise ASAP please?

Thanks.

Chosen solution

I am replying to myself. Despite the fact that I restarted Thunderbird twice as advised, the problem continued as described. However, after doing a shutdown with MS updates in the cue and their having been installed, the problem went away. Apparently the cold boot was part of the solution. Go figure. Anybody else ever experience the original problem as described?

Ahh, I forgot...it's Windoze.
