I use a second notebook computer when travelling. I don't want to download all previous emails (since the previous switch on), when I switch on this second computer. How can I set T'bird client filters to only bring down emails received while travelling, or after a date I can nominate?

Thanx in anticipation.

I presume you are using IMAP:

In Thunderbird 'Tools' > 'Account Settings' > 'Synchronization & Storage' for the imap mail account. or right click on imap mail account in folder pane and select 'Settings' then select 'Synchronization & Storage' for the imap mail account. there is the option to synchronise only xx days. See info at this link. There is a good image to help.
