My processor is an Athlon 64 3000 I do not know what SSE2 is.

Why don't you list equivalents, and give an explanatory note on obscure terminology.

The upgrade notice advises Firefox 5 for improved security - good The system requirements page warns make sure its ok. - bad.

Why not make Firefox 5 check out the system in a pre installation procedure ?

That way potential users would not be put off.

Doing as you suggest would make the requirements listing much longer, and tedious to maintain, and more difficult to read. Do you really want any website to query your system without permission, if that is possible? Additionally, to maintain a database to make that kind of query might require, could be quite large and maybe prone to errors and mis-information. The user needs to know more about his/her system, and ask their manufacturer if they are uncertain.

Doing a Google search for SSE2 yields, (among others):

Doing a Google search for "what is sse2" (including quotation marks) yields, (among others)

You need to update the following. The Plugin version(s) shown below was/were submitted with your question and is/are out of date. • Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 11.0
  1. Check your plugin versions on either of the following links':
  2. Update Shockwave for Director
    • NOTE: this is not the same as Shockwave Flash; this installs the Shockwave Player.
    • Use Firefox to download and SAVE the installer to your hard drive from the link in the article below (Desktop is a good place so you can find it).
    • When the download is complete, exit Firefox (File > Exit)
    • locate and double-click in the installer you just downloaded, let the install complete.
    • Restart Firefox and check your plugins again.
