For some reason, when I go to empty my cache, another window opens. I then have to go to advanced and empty the cache in there. This takes an extra 2 steps. Why did you not just leave it that when I go to options, I could just empty my cache there? This happened once before when I uploaded the new version of Firefox and I did not like it, so I went back to the old version. But in that process, I lost all my bookmarks. Now it has happened again and I am not happy. How can I go back to the old way?

What kind of window do you get?

Is that a window and not a tab with the about:preferences page (Tools > Options)?

Can you attach a screenshot?

  • Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
  • Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB

In the current release the about:preferences page (Options/Preferences) opens in a tab and not in a standalone window like in previous releases.

You can look at the Classic Theme Restorer extension to restore the possibility to open the Options/Preferences in a standalone window.
