Where on Windows does Firefox store the Recently Closed Tabs?

more options

I like being able to go back a long way, if need be, in the Recently Closed Tabs menu. A while back I had my Recently Closed Tabs list wiped out when I ran some application that deleted temporary files. So I would like to know where Firefox stores those tabs so I can protect it by copying it before I delete temporary files.

I'm on Windows XP, with Firefox 32.0.3.

hello, your session data is stored in a file named sessionstore.js. however, i'd suggest using the tools built into firefox to clear temporary data than to rely on external tools that might not be optimized to new browser versions and cause file corruptions...

What are the tools built into Firefox to clear temporary data?

In using other programs I wasn't rally aiming at Fiorefox. I was really surprised that after running some disk cleaning programs my Closed tabs list was gone. If it's stored in sessionstore.js it doesn't seem like that should have happened. I would think that all reputable programs would treat that file as something to be left alone. Sessionstore.js. isn't considered a temporary file, is it?

I ran CCleaner recently and it didn't go after the Closed Tabs list.
