Web App using XML files, works fine in FF3.5.5 and previous. FF3.6 XML Parse errors where there are none. ???

Running Firefox 3.5.5 on Vista Home Premium machine. Have an XML based application that works fine in all Firefox versions back to 2. After installing Firefox 3.6 an endless number of XML Parse Errors are generated for locations in XML files where there are no errors. After re-installing FF3.5.5 again everything works fine. Any ideas on what it is about FF3.6 that is causing this?
