I have been using Thunderbird for my Spectrum emails for quite some time. Within the last week it stopped receiving my emails. This was before or after the last updates. Now at update 102.1.2 64bit version. I have uninstalled and reinstalled When setting up my account it did confirm that the server was connected. Thunderbird. I have also checked with my ISP to ensure that all server settings are correct. I have also tried trying settings that worked in the past such as using POP3 instead of IMAP. I also reduced my IMAP from 3 to 1 as advised in the help topics. None of these have worked. If anybody has an idea please share.

1. Check Firewall

Sometimes a firewall might think the updated Thunderbird is a new program. Exit Thunderbird Access Firewall If Thunderbird is not int he list as an allowed program then set Thunderbird as an allowed program If Thunderbird is already in the list as allowed - then block/remove it and ok it then go back into Firewall and set Thunderbird as an allowed program.

2. Check 'Username' for incoming and outgoing = full email address.

3. Please tell us what Anti-Virus you use.

4. What comes after the @ in your email address as this does effect the server settings to use ?

5. Please post the following information so we can check you really do have everything correct. In Thunderbird

  • Help > More TRoubleshooting Information
  • Under 'Mail and News Accounts'
  • Select all the info in that section and paste it into this forum question.

6. What happens when you click on 'Get Messages' ? Do you get any error message ? If yes, what does it say word for word - or post an image of error.
