When I add a bookmark, the notification popup doesn't go away

When I wish to add a Bookmark, I press the star button, a thin popup then appears with Bookmark Added | Options. The Options are Edit or Add to Home Screen. If I press Edit and then OK, a message confirms that the Bookmark has been edited and saved, but the original popup is still on-screen and can't be removed without killing Firefox from Task Manager. There is no x that I can press.

I am only running 3 Add-ons and disabling all of them has no effect.

How do I get rid of this very annoying popup?

I am running Android 2.3.4 & Firefox 24.0 for Android.

using same firefox version on android4.1.2 I didn't get to see this wierd popup ucan fix this by resetting or reinstalling because it is working fine on other mobiles

I too have this problem--mohammed.samad's reply is wrong--with FF ver. 24 and Android 2.3.5. Extremely annoying since the only way to get rid of the black bar with the options button is to either kill FF with task manager or use the quit option on the "more" menu popup. No amount of resetting inside the browser or reinstalling cures this.

Hi ee88, I get the same problem on Android 2.3.4 (HTC device). Apparently it's not a problem on Android 3 or higher.

The developers have fixed this for Firefox 26+, and are figuring out whether it can be fixed in time for Firefox 25. (I think it's likely because it is indeed extremely annoying.) You can follow the progress in this bug: 913402 – The bookmark added notification toast doesn't disappear from the screen.

I wonder if this is related to why my Firefox 23 said there were no upgrades available so I had to uninstall and then freshly install from Play to get Firefox 24? Bah...

I am currently using Firefox 24 I didn't encounter any problem. I think there's problem in ur touchwiz UI
