A new computer. I copied my previous Firefox profile onto an external HD , under folder [ Firefox] and this folder contains two files. This was painstakingly done according to your instructions on how to save your profile. I have now downloaded a new Firefox application and cannot accomplish the task of importing my old profile. How can I copy to a new installation when instructions say your Firefox browser must be closed when you paste the old profile into the new installation!!!! You make it simple to import IE bookmarks, yet it is very confusing to import a previous saved profile.

A Profile folder contains far more than 2 files.
What are the names of those two files in that folder?

Exactly where did you save those files from - the file path?
There's 3 different file paths when a "Firefox" folder can be found.
Program Files, App Data, & Local Settings
