I need help with Firefox crashing, please. I've tried resetting Firefox, safe mode, removing add-ons, etc. and it still crashes. It seems like Google Apps sometimes triggers it, but it has crashed without Google Apps open, too.

That looks like a problem with memory fragmentation where Firefox can't allocate a consistent block of free memory and that is causing an out-of-memory crash.

Create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

You can check for issues caused by plugins.

  • set plugins to "Ask to Activate" on the about:addons page ("3-bar" menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins)
  • plugins are not affected by Firefox Safe Mode

Creating a new profile fixed the problem. I just started fresh rather than try to find the problem in my existing profile. Seems like plugins weren't a problem. Thanks!
