TB 102.6.1 (64-Bit), macOS, DE locale

TB macOS with GUI on extras "Filter" edit lacks scrollbar in sub-window thus making amending / editing of filters almost impossible on the macOS GUI of TB. This mishap was introduced in TB 102.6.x only recently, I presume.

Please consider correct and fix asap.

Question: How to reasonably edit the textual config file for TB filters in cases like this?

I have a windows surface pro 8 and the display is so small I was trying to up the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx. The decimal didn't take and now it is so large I don't know how to get back to change it? Please help if possible.

TB for Linux vs 114.6.0 (64 bit) Apparently I made a typo somewhere and now the from address for a certain account is displaying an 'n' instead of an 'm'. So far I have had to change it by customizing the 'from' address each time. Where do I go to correct my mistake permanently? Thank you !!

I've never really used Thunderbird before, only played around with it a little with my personal email a few months ago, and then never really came back to it. But, I recently started college and I wanted to use Thunderbird for my school issued Gmail. Every time I try to add it, it says my login is incorrect, even though I've typed in the correct password and given it my username. Is it not working because the email I'm trying to use is controlled by my school? Is there a different procedure for regulated accounts? or is it just not possible? Or am I doing something wrong?

On a Windows 11 computer I have the latest version of Thunderbird and two profiles.

For a few hours now, when I open the main profile, it appears minimized in the taskbar and does not allow me to expand or maximize it. I can't use my email.

In the other profile (which I don't usually use) it works fine.

In the crash report it appears something like mozLz40 8 ô?{"v":1,"crashes":{},"countsByDay? ð?rruptDate":null}

Any solution or tip?

As of yesterday after 9 pm I have not seen any new email in Thunderbird (115.7.0 (64-bit)). I can see new email in my service provider's (Shaw) webmail service. I downloaded Mailspring and they download to that program. I had a look at Microsoft Mail, which has all of my mail accounts (3 gmail + shaw) and bizarrely, in Mail I can see that the new email are there in my Shaw account.... but are not visible in Thunderbird.

Any suggestions? Uninstall & reinstall?

I had this problem before and ended up losing everything and had to put in all the emails I had in Thunderbird. I had lost my addressbooks, folders, etc.

It happened again. This time I might be able to explain it better. My computer crashed and restarted which it has done lately. So this time when I clicked my Thunderbird it says an upgrade may lose all by contacts, etc. I tried to get a screenshot or picture of the message but is it gone. It says I have Thunderbird 91.13.1. However I know I had downloaded 102 or whatever was the latest about 3 weeks ago when all this happened. I did back up (hope I did it right.) I did not backup this past week, but if I can at least preserve what I had I would be happy.

Please understand I am really not a geek or computer savvy, so potentially losing all this stuff is stressing me. Please help me understand what I should do and if I understand this.

1.) It appears my Thunderbird somehow reverted to the old version. Should I download the new version first?

2.) I looked at importing but it does not give me the option of going to where I have my backup. It just gives me the choice of Outlook, Becky and SeaMonkey, Mork .mab (for addresses). If I download 102 first will I be able to get to my backup file I made?

Thank you kindly for your answers. I am just afraid of having to start over again and having to sift through and sort emails like I did last time.

Hi, I have spent 10 hours looking. I am using the Portable version of Thunderbird. 102.9.0 (32-bit) Have been for years. In the Profile folder, there is a folder named “Mail”. G:\Thunderbird Portable\Data\profile\Mail\ In the mail folder there are a lot of entries like, “pop.gmail-1.com”, “pop.gmx-1.com”, “pop.googlemail-1.com”, ‘pop3.live.com”, “pop-mail.outlook-1.com’. There are a lot of entries that were left behind from long removed accounts.

Is it safe to remove these entries? Should I? I am in the process of removing and restoring my accounts.

recently and without other changes that I am aware of my thunderbird pull down menus do not populate with text, or sporadically do so after delay of 15 - 30 seconds.

But didn't get any help. After a lot of searching, someone said go to: Tools,Options..... to change mail.delete.

I don't have Options under tool.

Elsewhere I saw to change Preferences but I can't find that either.

What can I do?

Running TB 102.4.0 on Windows 10 off a SSD drive. System was running fine this morning but when I started TB in the afternoon I have a blank screen as attached. Top menu items are displayed but cannot access Tools > Account Settings or Settings. Tried restarting in Safe Mode but no change. Deactivated Anstivirus (Kaspersky) but no change either. Looked and saw this has happened to other people but cannot replicate any of the solutions. Error console message attached. Cannot access More Troubleshooting Mode. Messages are downloading but I cannot see them - but they are no longer on the server. Only File Menu item that works is Write Message.

Appreciate any feedback.

Since setting up a new computer with Windows 11, I find that emails in the sent folder if of the same subject to the same person are sort of threaded, if you know what I mean ie

But the emails cannot be seen individually. Can anyone help resolve this, please? This did not happen in Windows 10. Thank you.

In my thunderbird "Unified Folders" inbox I have a folder "Mail for". I have no idea how this ended up here, but I can't find any account for it in my account settings and it keeps trying to connect to `test.imap.com` (notification shows up) - please, how do I remove this? (See images attached - as you can see, it lists 5 accounts but there is a 6th folder)

How can I correct this problem?:

'Subject' has ceased appearing on two of my three email address inbox 'summaries'. It also doesn't appear on the columns drop down menus.

I have many emails and don't have the time to look at each incoming message.

Ok everything was working fine then I did something whilst I was deleting (one at a time) emails from a gmail account now some mails have no toolbar/infobar -see image 2 whereas some do -see image 1 also the mails when the toolbar is missing are now html which makes them pretty impossible to read its like the View Sourse has been put into the mail along with removing the toolbar The date on the mail is different on the mail toolbar than the folder -see image 2 Its really weird as its not affecting all mails in that folder just some I updated but no luck and cant find info on the web and view or account settings Any help greatly accepted

Windows 10 thunderbird 102.7.2

My folders have disappeared. They are there when I first open TBird, but immediately vanish. I have checked ALL in view, but if I uncheck then recheck, nothing changes.
