Hi All,

Any idea why the menu code I'm using below to reduce padding in menu items is only affecting Firefox in Windows 10, but not in Windows 7?

It's a very strange anomaly. This is true for both FF 125 and FF 115 ESR.

79 files taking 590MB created in 3 minutes, out of nowhere. Why were all these large files created?

Using Linux Mint, Firefox 125.0.2

Hello! I updated FLOORP on the 5th May, FLOORP crashed and then Brave, Firefox, Waterfox, LibreWolf and Vivaldi started crashing. I had Brave and Vivaldi open when I launched FLOORP and FLOORP asked consent to update itself and after updating, it did not open in “previous session” and I could not open “previous session” through History. When I launched “Settings” from menu, “previous session” opened! I had pinned “Settings” earlier.

Now the bizarre happens; suddenly LibreWolf launches by itself also without “previous session” and open tabs in Brave and Vivaldi disappear to single New Tab. After some tinkering, I was able to restore “previous session” in LibreWolf, Brave and Vivaldi.

Now I close all browsers and open Firefox, no “previous session” and some random windows in its history, opening these random windows also opened “previous session”! 🙄But then Waterfox launches also without “previous session”, here clicking on OneTab extension recovered “previous session”.

Cutting short; I uninstalled, Waterfox, LibreWolf and FLOORP, this did not help, I ran System Restore twice to two different points and it has not resolved the issue.

Do Firefox menus appear differently in Windows 10 than they do in Windows 7?

In Windows 7, I see the normal system menus - square corners, light blue menu item highlights, 3D column line on the left, dark drop shadow below and to the right of the menu.

In Windows 10 I notice differences - gray-highlighted menu items, rounded corners, no drop shadow, etc.

I'm not using any code to style the menus.

Whenever I type in a website URL in the search-bar, first of all, the drop-down menu of related searches and websites does not show up. When I press enter to confirm that's where I want to go, nothing happens. The URL just kinda sits there, no loading circle or anything... Just a blank page. Only two of the icons on my toolbar works. The "Account" icon, which takes me to my Firefox settings. And my Extensions icon. Clicking the three little lines does nothing. The only websites i have been able to get to work at all are the settings page, and the Firefox troubleshooting page. I'm using Version 125.0.3, I tried using the browser both with and without hardware acceleration with results being unremarkably the same. I restarted Firefox and my computer multiple times to no avail, and the only thing I could find out of the ordinary was an error with Importing data from Microsoft Edge, which was not something I consciously wanted to do, but there was an error that popped up regarding that when i went to the settings page.

All that being said, I'm confused and at a loss for options, and could really use a Mozilla Staff member or someone who knows what they're doing to work me through this.

I am using Firefox 125 in Windows 11. And this just happens recently.

Sometimes, quite frequently, when I click the addressbar wanting to input or select a new address. The Firefox UI freezes (before the dropdown list of addresses is shown). The video/audio/other effects are still working, and from task manager, it does not cost more CPU/mem than usual. But it does not response to key press or mouse action. All I can do (that I know of) is killing the processes. The problem does not seem related to "current" webpage I am browsing. And I have not installed new addons for a few months.

Any idea what should I look into?

How do I turn off those annoying "update available" notifications/reminders that keep popping up? I've gone into Settings, and in the Updates section firefox only let's me select auto updates or check for updates. I searched online but couldn't seem to find anything about how to disable the notifications all together with the newer version of FF. It's driving me crazy, thinking of switching browsers because of this. Thanks in advance!

Since upgrading to the last version, 125.0.3 I'm getting tab crashes. Is there any way to go to a previous version? I have not had any issues with the websites I'm visiting until this new version of Firefox.

Need help figuring out why Firefox has a memory leak after an extended use of Firefox browsing. Don't know if its the result of an extension having this issue, or if its a Firefox bug. When I view my bank statement in Firefox, everything appears fine, but when I print the statement, all occurrences of boldfce "S" on the printout are blank. This problem does not occur with Google. Running macOS Catalina, all maintenance applied, Firefox is at 125.0.3.

Problem with using space bar when trying to post replies on YT or other sites. Can key text, but space bar does not work. On Google search page, can get only one space between words. Tried 2 different keyboards w/same problem. Doesn't seem to happen on Chrome or Safari. Re-installed Firefox with same results. Any thoughts, please? Thank you.

When I press the pause button on my keyboard, it doesn't stop the YouTube video like it used to. I'm not sure why it stopped working. I've checked the key, and it works fine in Chrome.

I've been trying to connect to discord for a while, left it on for 2 hours and hasnt loaded. when i opened the console log, all it said was "Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at wss://gateway.discord.gg/?encoding=json&v=9&compress=zlib-stream" all over. Please help.

Thru Firefox, I use Tineye to find related photos - I use it all the time, it's been great - I always use a VPN and have never had problems until now (as of yesterday). Now it won't search, a verify you're human window comes up, and I have to keep clicking squares, which I do - but then it says to allow cookies and start over. Well I don't want to allow cookies (I assume it's one of the options I have thru Firefox to block cookies), and I can't find where to allow cookies even if I did (I went to Firefox preferences etc) and I don't want to disable my VPN. Maybe I should mention that I just added or started a Mozilla account, as I have had immense trouble with my aol emails, and am trying to move everything over to a gmail account. My sign in to Firefox was the aol email, and I had to (try, I thought I did it) add another account, which I think I did successfully. So it was right after that, that all this started. Help please! I keep hitting sites where menus and selection boxes turn into unreadable Wing Dings? On W11 and cleared and rest the font cache in Windows and still repeatedly seeing the issue?

is too slow.

tooooooooo slow. I waited 36.6s until http response for every new URL open! Of course, I am using a lot of Firefox extensions, but there were no serious problems outside of YouTube, and the same problem occurred after removing the extension, and i also confirmed that the problem caused by web extensions on waterfall(on firefox profiler) was minor.

I can't even guess the cause of the problem, so unfortunately there seems to be no additional information that I can give you. I'll keep following up as long as I can. I will attach some pictures that might help you solve the problem. and you can also approach to my full-recorded firefox profiler data

Ok-So this popup window popped up when I returned to Firefox. I don't think it's legit and I am wondering how I go about blocking it permanently. I searched the settings but didn't see where I could post the URL so that is why I am posting this here.

I copied the URL but I don't want to post it here in case it could do something to someone else's system. But here is the screenshot. Please advise me what I need to do. Thank you! TGIF!

I am on a Mac running Sonoma.

When reloading a page, or navigating to a new page, the default Stop icon momentarily appears over my own Reload icon, and the default Reload icon also appears over my Stop icon.

Any idea if this is a minor bug?

Below is my code to split the Reload button into Reload & Stop buttons, then to add text to the navigation buttons, and finally to add icons to the navigation buttons.

This anomaly happens whether or not I split the Reload & Stop buttons. With just a single Reload button, I'm also seeing the default Reload icon appear over my own.

I am trying to add custom search engines to Firefox. I have tried the steps given in the forum thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1212596.

However when I try to go and add the search engine as per the article given above I do not get the option. Please see the attached screen shot for more details. I do not want to add an extension or a plugin, but just manually have the option of adding search engines.

This is almost surely a "security" or "privacy" design, but it's an error. In Firefox - only (this works fine in Chrome) - if I open the LastPass Firefox Extension, find a Site, and Copy the password, then go directly to an open AnyDesk remote access connection, and Paste (or, lightning bolt menu, Insert from Clipboard), what gets pasted is a single wrong character, NOT the password that IS in the clipboard. (If I paste instead into e.g. a local Notepad window, the actual password gets pasted). I asked AnyDesk support about this, and they confirmed that it's something that Firefox is doing. It shouldn't. Copy is copy. Paste is paste. Why would Firefox do something so that copied text (which just happens to be a password from a password vault extension) pastes wrong when the destination just happens to be a remote desktop client (AnyDesk) to send the password through to complete a login at the remote end? Anyway, how to turn off this wrong behaviour? thank you. (Windows 11 Pro, 64-bit, 23H2, Firefox current - 125.something today, but this has been going on for some weeks at least, AnyDesk version 8 current)
